Mathematics: Students work towards the achievement of a Maths GCSE.
Primarily, we teach AQA GCSE Mathematics. However, where students are still attending a school we work with the student and the school to prepare the student for the specification they have been entered for.
English: Students at VLC generally study both English Language and English Literature, providing them with the opportunity to gain two GCSE qualifications.
Students study different forms of writing and poetry as well as a number of pieces of literature.

English Baccalaureate The EBacc is not a qualification in its own right, but is rather a performance measure linked to GCSEs in English, Mathematics, the sciences, History/Geography, and a language. LVLC can support schools’ with the English Baccalaureate (EBacc). We currently offer the following GCSE subjects:
AQA Biology
AQA Chemistry
AQA Physics
AQA History
AQA French
AQA Religious Studies
However, we work with the student and schools to support those preparing for other specifications.
Other Subjects Non-examination PE is offered in Whitnash and Stratford. Non-examination Art is offered to all students. Peripetic Music is offered on request to some students in the Whitnash Centre. Cookery is offered to students in Whitnash. SMSC is covered every day - through weekly themes. Non-examination PSHE is delivered to all students. Other subjects may be offered to students in accordance with needs and circumstances.
