First contact made by school/parent/referring party. NB. Where a student is enrolled in a school, the school should be consulted in the referral.
Visit takes place with young person, parent/carer, key representative from the school or agency/department and the LVLC Principal/Senior Teacher.
Referral confirmed and timetable agreed.
New Student Information Form, Learner’s Statement (if applicable), and Risk Assessment forms all completed.
Student begins attending LVLC, following an induction programme.
LVLC maintains regular contact with the student’s parent/carer, and school/agency, providing feedback on the student’s attendance, progress, aptitude for learning, behaviour and other issues which may arise.
